Created/Managed programs and strategic direction for corporate engagement in events through sponsorship, employee participation, volunteerism programs and/or in-kind contributions. Consulted with field staff and account executives at all levels to secure and enhance partnerships and deals. Developed/Managed all GTM, sales and implementation content, reporting procedures and tools, and trainings for staff and volunteers (onboarding and ongoing, including sales managers).  Generated $325.4M in funds from corporate partners to signature events through the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life (RFL) and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) corporate engagement programs  Led creation of the Partners Against Cancer sales and recognition program to provide a consistent partnership framework that empowered Account Executives and field staff to build, pitch and win sales more quickly  Identified new technology to launch the first virtual Relay for Life event which has raised over $110,000, plus an additional $127,000 in one day during the COVID-19 pandemic  Collaborated across verticals to directly build and implement unique partnerships for several companies through RFL, Global RFL and MSABC events, totaling over $11 million in new deals in 2016-2019  Co-developed a national sponsorship program for RFL and MSABC to offer consistent pricing, levels and benefits at events nationwide, while retaining flexibility to fit the communities’ needs, which increased sponsorship revenue for events remaining year-over-year 2015-2018 (data incomplete for 2019)  Incorporated customer-centric concepts (employee engagement and skills-based volunteerism) in external marketing and sales materials, and in sales training/onboarding, resulting in reduced time to sales for new employees and thousands of companies formally supporting ACS

Remotely led 10 and 20 grassroots events at a time, with an approximate $1M portfolio of revenue and dozens of volunteer and corporate relationships to manage, while simultaneously leading nationwide workgroups for revenue growth, improved customer experience and improved ROI for all RFL events.  Co-developed a national sponsorship program for RFL and MSABC, and served as project manager for implementation, marketing and sales content, material development, creation of a sponsorship tracking database, staff/volunteer sales strategy and training, program launch and troubleshooting – leading to sustained YOY growth from 2014 to 2018 (when last tracked).

Responsibilities

Led a team of 9-11 staff responsible for raising over $7.5 million from 2009-2012. Sought extra responsibilities to organize state and division-wide staff development opportunities, employee mentoring, volunteer management training for staff, and grassroots recruitment and sponsorship training for volunteers.  Built strong relationships with a volunteer committee of high-powered women and worked with them to increase their funds raised by over 22% to fully fund ACS’s youth cancer survivor scholarships in Wisconsin.  Hit 110% of enrollment goal for Cancer Prevention Study-3, #10 largest community enrollment in the nation, by establishing volunteer relationships and engaging local corporations and government agencies.  Created a no-cost solution for a data-tracking gap by crafting a spreadsheet to track all current and historical revenue and expenses for peer-to-peer fundraising events.

Took on additional responsibilities to plan and lead team revenue enhancers and division-wide data capture improvements.  34% portfolio growth from August 2005-August 2008.  2008 Midwest Division Excellence in Constituent Relationship Management Award winner for repairing previously damaged relationships within a health care system which led to initiating a patient referral program and substantial growth in patients using ACS services and event participation and funding.

Developed an international 501c3 charitable foundation, Give Back A Smile, from beginning-stages to grow to provide all services and all funds necessary for restoring the smiles of domestic violence survivors in the U.S. and Canada.  Established all program policies and procedures, Board of Trustees, Articles of Incorporation, website development, marketing strategy, and donor, patient and volunteer communication strategy.  Created a new source of revenue by building a fundraising program that included gaining 3-year commitments from two companies for an in-kind donation of $100,000 - $300,000 per year.  Served on AACD’s trade show team and medical journal editing team.
